FINAL SELF-ASSESSMENT

Hello everyone, this will be my last relevant post because the next year I will study in other high-school. During this 3 years I leaned a lot of vocabulary about sports, transports, technologies, health, different moods, etc. My speaking is better I don't feel embarrassed (not to much :D) when I speak during the lessons.  I promise I will study hard an improve my English although you won't teach us. It was fantastic share this 3 years with you. I'll miss everyone of you and I hope you enjoy  what's to come. Bye Bretonians!

UNIT 7 - VOCABULARY

Come across: to find something by chance. Get away:  go on holidays carefree. Get off: to leave a bus, train, plane, or boat. Get on:  to aboard a vehicle. See off: say goodbye to someone. Speed up: increase the speed/move faster. Stop over: stop for a moment to have a rest Take off:  start raising the height on an airplane. Turn back: return from a journey, trip, etc.

UNIT 5 AND 6 - VOCABULARY

Diplomacy: The skill of dealing with people in difficult situations without upsetting them. Rudeness: Bad manners and a lack of respect for others. Etiquette: Rules for behavior in society. Bookmark:  To mark some websites in internet. Politeness: Good manners and respect for others. Tradition: A belief or way of doing something which has existed for some time. Insist: to be emphatic, firm, or resolute on some matter of desire, demand, intention, etc. Consideration: The quality of being sensitive to others and thinking about their feelings. Deny: say that something is false. Boast:  to speak with exaggeration and excessive pride, especially about oneself. State: set forth formally. Appreciation: Enjoyment from something that is good quality. Netiquette: Rules of acceptable behavior for writing blogs posts... Rank: The position that someone has in an organisation, society, etc.

Blow:  hard hit. Bolted: locked with a metal bar. Bruised: has got purple marks on the skin from an injury. Fingerprints: marks from a person's fingers. Frame:  the wood or metal part surrounding a window. Lean over: stretch over to reach something. Lightning-rod: a piece of metal attached to a building to prevent lightning damage. Released: let out. Ribbon: a long narrow piece of cloth. Shutters: wooden or metal covers on the outside of windows. Slid down: moved smoothly down something. Whip: a long piece of leather or rope used to hit animals or people.

2nd TERM - SELF-ASSESSMENT

This term I've learned a lot. We have learned how to do the passive voice and the conditionals. Also, now I know different  phrasal verbs and vocabulary related electronic devices and the  healthy food. As always, I need to improve my speaking and specially in this  term I should have studied more. Nevertheless, I've realized that now I understand easier the lessons. In ICT we learned haw to do a vectorial image doing logos of famous business and creating our own logo. Also, we learned how to do a data base. See you the next term!

Unit 4 - Vocabulary

Open up: Tell your worries and problems to someone. Calm down: When you are nervous you need to calm down. Cut down: Reduce the amount of something. Face up to: Realize your problems ad affront to it. Slow down: Reduce the rhythm because you are going very fast. Work out:  Do exercise. Cheer up: Try someone to feel better and happier. Chill out: Relax. Aching Muscle: When you have pain in your muscles Stiff neck: When you have a bad posture of your neck

Electronic:  of or relating to electronics or devices and systems developed through electronics. Energy-saving:  A mechanical device that don't waste electricity. High-tech: Using the most recent and advanced electronic machines, computers, and methods. Innovative: Tending to innovate or characterized by innovation. Sustainable:  Capable of being maintained at a steady level without exhausting natural resources or causing severe ecological damage Wireless:  Something that works without being connected trough out wires.

Decay: No longer fresh Dizziness: A feeling of head turning round, and loss of balance. Dripping: Falling in small drops. Grabbed: Took roughly. Pour: Cause liquid to flow. Stained Glass:   Different coloured pieces of glass making a pattern. Streaming: Light shining strongly. Swung: Moved from side to side. Took hold of: Took control of. Was held: Took place.

SELF-ASSESSMENT /FIRST-TERM/

This term was really fast, I learned a lot of things. For example, now, I can edit pictures with a program called "Gimp 2", I  can recognize some idioms and now, I know how affect the social medias in de society. The most I liked in this term were some lessons with Michael, they were extremely funny. Futhermore, in this term I started to see videos and blogs in einglish, but that dosn't enough to improve my einglish, for it I must study more than now. About the culture I learned  some the most strange things that have happened to some people buying and interestering information about the history of the advertisements

SELF-ASSESSMENT

This was a good quarter but sometimes it was difficult to concentrate on the heat. I have learned quite a few things like the conditional 0,1,2; European Union information, different expressions and lots of vocabulary. I've also found out that running for 30 minutes is not easy. It has been a good school year but should study and improve my marks in the next one. Enjoy your holidays!😁😁😁

Cub : young of dog, wildcat, bear. Furry:  with lots of hair. Selfish:  caring for oneself only. Fall Out: Have an argument  Make up:  be reconcile. Pick on:  harass. Put up with:  tolerate. Tell off:  reprimand. Turn to:  seek help from.

WAYS TO PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT Switch off anything that uses electricity when not in use. Unplug devices when possible.  Trade in your dryer for a good old-fashioned clothesline. Run your air conditioner sparingly or not at all. Close the heating and air conditioning vents in your home. Don't use electronic exercise machines. Use a warm blanket or sweater in winter. Conserve water.  Recycle all you can. Avoid excess packaging. Don't waste food. Use reusable bottles for water.
