WAYS TO PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT Switch off anything that uses electricity when not in use. Unplug devices when possible.  Trade in your dryer for a good old-fashioned clothesline. Run your air conditioner sparingly or not at all. Close the heating and air conditioning vents in your home. Don't use electronic exercise machines. Use a warm blanket or sweater in winter. Conserve water.  Recycle all you can. Avoid excess packaging. Don't waste food. Use reusable bottles for water.

P OPULATION Nation: A group of people who share common customs, origins, history and frequentlylanguage. State: The supreme public power within a sovereign political entity. Country: A territory distinguished by its people, culture, language, geography, etc. Inhabitant: A person or animal that is a permanet resident of a particular place. Citizens: A resident of a city or twon, especially one entited to vote and enjoy orther privileges there. Worldwide: Applying or extending throughout the world. Civil servants: Government works; usually hired on the basis of the competitive examination. Taxes: Money you have to pay to the government so that it can pay for public services. Border: The line that divides two countries or areas. Law:  The whole system of rules that everyone in a country or society must obey, Anthem: Uplifting song for group or cause. Inherit: Succed as heir. Rule: Maintain discipline over. Economy Primary sector: The sector of the econom
