GEOGRAPHY - VOCABULARY 2nd TERM

POPULATION

Nation: A group of people who share common customs, origins, history and frequentlylanguage.
State: The supreme public power within a sovereign political entity.
Country: A territory distinguished by its people, culture, language, geography, etc.
Inhabitant: A person or animal that is a permanet resident of a particular place.
Citizens: A resident of a city or twon, especially one entited to vote and enjoy orther privileges there.
Worldwide: Applying or extending throughout the world.
Civil servants: Government works; usually hired on the basis of the competitive examination.
Taxes: Money you have to pay to the government so that it can pay for public services.
Border: The line that divides two countries or areas.
Law: The whole system of rules that everyone in a country or society must obey,
Anthem: Uplifting song for group or cause.
Inherit: Succed as heir.
Rule: Maintain discipline over.

Economy

Primary sector: The sector of the economy concerned with the production and extraction of raw materials.

Secondary sector: The sector of the economy concerned with manufacture of goods, both capital goods and consumer goods, sold for immediate use.

Tertiary sector: The sector of the economy which provides personal or business services.

Services: Work that is done for others as an occupation or business.

Resources: thing, person or country has that can be used for economic benefit. 

Rent: A payment made for the use of a facility, equipment, or service provided by another. 

Wages: A regular payment, usually on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis, made by an employer to an employee, especially for manual or unskilled work.

Profit: Financial gain from a transaction or from a period of investment or business activity, usually calculated as income in excess of costs or as the final value of an asset in excess of its initial value.

Supply: goods and services that are available for sale.

Consumers:  Tha people who use the services and the goods that was produced in the secondary and terciary sector.
